Rehabilitation Services
Crossroads serves persons who have barriers to employment
including mental illness, physical disabilities, substance abuse
history, criminal record, and socioeconomic disadvantage.
Crossroads provides a full-range of vocational rehabilitation,
supported employment, and job placement services. Through
the individualized services listed below, our clients are able
to successfully choose, secure, and maintain employment.
Services are provided based on the individual needs of our clients
and the availability of services allowed by the funding source.
All of the services described may not be available to each individual.
Career Planning
Defining a career goal based on interest, skills, strengths
and barriers, and developing a plan which outlines the steps
necessary to achieve the goal.
Social Security Benefits Counseling
Information on Social Security including the change in benefits
when an individual returns to work.
Job Seeking Skills Classes
Assistance in preparing to meet with employers including completing
a Master Application, practicing interviewing, and conducting
a job search.
Résumé Preparation
Creating a functional or chronological résumé
which effectively describes skills, experience, education, and
accomplishments.
Job Development
Individualized services by a skilled Job Developer to assist
clients in identifying potential employers, scheduling interviews,
and developing employment opportunities.
Job Coaching Assistance
Specialized support and training services for individuals who
require additional on or off site support to improve job performance
and retain employment.
Post-Employment Support
Ongoing direct contact with the client following placement to
ensure successful retention of employment and provide additional
support and referrals as needed.
Workplace Accommodations
Educating employers and clients on the ADA and reasonable accommodations.
